Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission
1st and 3rd Saturdays • Meet at Vine Campus • 8:45am
Have you ever been curious as to what we do at Sunday Breakfast? Have you been feeling challenged on being missional in our community? Well, here is an opportunity for you to join us! The Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission (SBRM) is a non-profit Christian organization that ministers to the spiritual and physical needs of the homeless and disadvantaged people in Philadelphia. The main goal for us in serving at SBRM is to get to know our neighbors and to share God’s love and the gospel. Too often the poor and homeless are ignored, but because we understand how God’s grace has impacted our lives, we aim to treat the homeless as God intended us to treat all people – as his creations, worthy of being treated with dignity and hospitality.
Catalyst groups from our Salt & Light Fellowship serve there twice a month (every 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month) and typically spend time in fellowship with the men in SBRM’s Over-comers ministry, which is a program that aims to transition people from homelessness to being self-sufficient via Jesus.
